Ralf Olbrich plays live on stage since he was 16 years old and specialises in playing saxophone in genres like Jazz and Soul. His solid playing-style and many-sided knowledge about musical styles made him to a requested music-teacher as well as a live- and studiomusician.With his band-project “Plus Five” Ralf Olbrich made an old dream come true to play his own compositions in a live-band:Instrumental music between Jazz, Funk and Easy Listening in a high-graded quintett of professional musicians. Catchy melodies with fastidious arrangements and a powerfull groove.Of course, Ralf Olbrich still plays his proved oldie-repertoire on all kinds of events.Ralf Olbrich never wanted to be famous - his real interest is always his musical development and a wider knowledge about many styles. And he will always make honest music !

- Owner of a music-school and co-owner of a recording-studio. Well booked live- & studio-musician since more than 15 years.

- Appearence in a Blues/Rock Band, inspired by the guitar-play of Gary Moore, Jeff Healey and other guitar-heroes.

- Lessons in electric guitar by a official acknowledged guitar-teacher
- Main interests in playing solo and improvisation
- First recordings in an own homestudio. Ralf Olbrich played all instruments (Git, Bass, Keys, Vocals)
- Foundation of an oldie-duo (Ralf Olbrich/Klaus Hartmann)
- Many gigs and a very well knowledge about the regional musicscene.

- Private guitar-lessons with his later duo-partner Klaus Hartmann.
- Knowledge of many songs from the 60’s
